Friday, June 5th, 2009El Afilador is a spiritual art film made by Emma Plunkett and Suzy Jones, adapted from a poem by Suzy Jones. It follows a day in the life of a knife grinder, which is one of the dying trades in Andalucia, Spain. The character of the knife grinder demonstrates throughout the film the Buddhist principle of non attachment, not even to life itself!
